He consulted for the City of Boston and Town of Brookline, Massachusetts, on appraisal and valuation issues. With a master's degree in marketing, he also has a knack for taking troubled properties and projects and turning them into money makers.

"He's a very resourceful guy," says Ron Serra, director of business development for Corona Canada. "I can go to him with a problem and he'll offer a solution and execute it quickly." As the daughter of a Canadian builder, Irene tagged along with her dad to construction sites. "Building has always been in my blood," she says. "It's what I love."

Her ability to look at a blueprint and visualize the finished project allows her to help homeowners make decisions they'll enjoy for years to come. "It's fun to watch her in action," graphic artist Joyce Tromp says. "She can encourage others to get things done."
